Euro PM2025 KNP Winners

Building on the ongoing success of the EPMA Keynote Paper Award (KNP Award), the programme will once again take place at the Euro PM2026 Congress & Exhibition.

The selection process will follow two stages:

In February, the Technical Programme Committee will carefully review and pre-select a shortlist of submitted abstracts.

In May, the KNP Awards Committee will evaluate the corresponding manuscripts and select the Keynote winners.

To be considered for Keynote status, a paper must present original research or provide a high-quality review on a topic of interest to the PM community. Submissions must not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Keynote papers will benefit from:

An extended 30-minute presentation slot at the beginning of the relevant session.

A €200 award for each successful Keynote paper, generously sponsored by EPMA

Peter Brewin Poster Award

2025 Poster Award Winner

This award from the EPMA was introduced in 2014 to celebrate the contribution made over many years by Dr Peter Brewin to the Association, both on its Board and Council, as well as his successful period as Technical Director from 2001 – 2007. It forms an important and public recognition of the contribution made by poster authors to the EPMA’s annual Euro PM Congress, being the largest and most prestigious Powder Metallurgy specific congress in Europe.
Peter Brewin remains a key supporter of the EPMA.

The award winners, who, in the opinion of an independent panel of three judges, submitted and displayed the best overall poster at the event, receive a plaque and an honorarium of €250.

Fellowship Awards

2025 Fellowship Award was presented to Prof. Monica Campos

The EPMA Fellowship Award was created in 2017 to recognise the significant contribution to PM industry development from the scientific/academic community. The EPMA Fellowship Award not only provides a fantastic recognition from the PM community for such tremendous work, but also looks to exemplify the continued involvement in PM science and technologies.

An individual will be elected to be an EPMA Fellow through achievements and accomplishments made to the benefit of EPMA and the PM and particulate materials industry.

EPMA Sustainability Award

2025 Sustainability award was presented to Plansee.

The EPMA Sustainability Award was established in 2023 to encourage the adoption of sustainability-focused practices within the European Powder Metallurgy (PM) community.

The award recognises EPMA member companies that demonstrate outstanding sustainability performance, evaluated in terms of scope, commitment, actions, targets, and results.

Held annually, the competition is based on an online questionnaire covering key sustainability aspects. Each submission is assessed according to defined criteria, with scores assigned to each response to form a total ranking. Additional points are granted to small companies and to those sharing inspiring “good sustainability stories.”

The winning company or companies are honoured during a ceremony at the Euro PM Congress, gaining significant visibility within the community and helping to raise awareness of sustainability across the PM sector.

Further details on participation rules and evaluation criteria can be found here: Sustainability Award
