Technical Programme Committee Co-Chair

Dr.-Ing. Anke Kaletsch
Chief Engineer, Head of Powder Metallurgy and Ceramics
RWTH Aachen University
Anke Kaletsch is the Head of the Powder Metallurgy and Ceramics Division at the Institute for Materials Applications in Mechanical Engineering (IWM) at RWTH Aachen University. She is also deputy Head of the Institute of Applied Powder Metallurgy and Ceramics (IAPK e.V.), an affiliated institute of RWTH Aachen University. Anke Kaletsch studied mechanical engineering in Aachen and received her PhD (Dr.-Ing.) from RWTH Aachen University in 2016. At IWM and IAPK, she coordinates the research activities and projects in the field of powder technology, with a particular interest in Additive Manufacturing and Hot Isostatic Pressing. Within the EPMA, Anke Kaletsch is the co-chair of the EuroHIP Hot Isostatic Pressing sectoral group.

Dr Johannes Pötschke
Head of department sintering and characterisation
Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS
Dr.-Ing. Johannes Pötschke is leading the research on “hardmetals, cermets and super hard composites” at Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS in Dresden, Germany. His primary research interests are in the fields of materials developments of novel compositions for cutting, drilling, wear and forming tools, in the development and optimization of manufacturing techniques for composite materials like hardmetals, cermets or ceramics, and in the characterisation of metals, ceramics and composite materials. Within the last years his special focus was on the development of novel additive manufacturing processes for the tooling industry and alternative hardmetal compositions. Dr. Pötschke is author of more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and several patents and patents applications. He is member of the European powder metallurgy association (EPMA) program committee of both euro and world PM conferences, the European Hard Materials Group Steering Group, the association of German engineers (VDI), committee for cutting tools and within the German society for material science (DGM), member of the German committee of experts for powder metallurgy and on the editorial board of International Journal of Refractory Metals and Hard Materials.
